Structural Glazing Film

Holds shattered glass together when it has been broken as a result of impact, explosion or stress fracture. Can be used in conjunction with an edge retention device for toughened glass where it is positioned overhead or at high level and where there may be risk of detachment from the frame in the event of catastrophic glass failure. Also recommended to bring glazing up to anti bandit standard particularly where there is a possibility of violent attack during riots, demonstrations or crowd unrest.

Blast Mitigation Film

Also known as Bomb Blast Film, is used extensively on the glazing of vulnerable buildings or buildings that could be subjected to explosion as a result of terrorist attack. Also widely used on industrial sites that store or process highly volatile chemicals, liquids or pressurized gasses.

Meeting all relevant glass safety standards, including ISO 16933 Explosion Resistant Security Glazing. Giving peace of mind to the buildings occupants and adding increased protection to stock, valuables and equipment.

Manifestation

MVM Window Films range of acid-etch, frosted and coloured vinyl are ideal to meet equalities act requirements of properly marking glass in an appropriate so as to indicate its presence and make it visually apparent.

Glass manifestation is a requirement of current Building regulations and is intended to make glazing be more apparent thereby avoiding injuries caused by accidental collision with glass. Our studio can produce vinyl manifestation in the form of stripes, squares, panels, dots or repeating patterns of any design. Manifestation film can also come in the form of signage, partition graphics  or window graphics and could be in the form of logos or bespoke digital print or computer cut, images corporate style or design.

Solar Heat-Gain Reduction

Reducing your carbon footprint, cutting energy costs and improving thermal comfort. Solar control film reflects the sun’s energy away from glazing, cutting room temperatures and helping to avoid tiredness and headaches.

Variously known as sun control, spectrally selective, shade, glare reduction or solar energy control film these films are capable of addressing a number of problems associated with excessive solar (sun) energy through glazing.

Conservatory Roof Film

During summer months the majority of the solar energy that passes into a conservatory does so through the glazed roof. Conservatory roof films are solar control window films that are particularly suited for overhead glazing and sloping glazing. Asgard Window Films® Reflective Silver 20 is the film of choice for householders as it is perfect for, what is for many people, the largest expanse of glass in a property such as the glass roof of a conservatory.

If you have a conservatory with a polycarbonate roof BiFrost® Solar Control film is our recommendation. Solar control films will improve thermal comfort and help occupants to avoid tiredness and headaches associated with higher temperatures and improves mental alertness.

Privacy Window Film

Privacy window film comes in four types; frosted, mirrored, blackout and dual reflective. There are many reasons for clients wishing to purchase privacy window film; some businesses might be located adjacent to busy main roads or pavements where employees feel uncomfortable knowing that they can be viewed from the outside. Privacy film can also be used on lower panes on curtain wall glazing as modesty screens and on glazed office partitions.

Preventing visual intrusion can also be achieved with vinyl window films such as; Sandblast effect, acid etch effect, coloured semi-opaque, light diffusing for roof-lights, decorative,  Fritted Glass effect.

Safety window Films

Window Safety Film is very important in protecting people from broken glass as a result of accidental human impact. It is very versatile and has many uses within a varied range of industries. From transforming normal glass to shatter resistant glass (anti shatter), or combining safety with solar control. Safety film should be considered when glass needs to be upgraded to glazing safety standard BS EN 12600 2B2, for Workplace Health, Safety and Welfare reasons (Regulation 14) or to comply with building regulations, BS 6262 part 4, to comply with Duty of Care responsibilities or to prevent contamination of food from glass particles by protecting glazing above or surrounding food preparation, processing, packing etc. as required by food safety standards.
