For
great results you will require a sharp blade or knife, a squeegee,
spray bottle and some lint free tissue paper. Ensure that the film
is kept clean whilst handling. Do not fold or crease the film.

Step 1.
thoroughly
clean the glass with water and a little washing up liquid

Step 2.
with the glass still wet scrape
off any dirt and particles from entire glass surface
|
 |
Step 3.
clean
the window again with a squeegee and dry with tissues taking
care to go right up to the edge of the glass and frame. It is
vital that the window is as clean as possible

Step 4.
to
expose the adhesive coating, apply tape to either side of the
film in one corner and pull apart to separate the release liner
from the window film
|

Step 5.
thoroughly
spray the pane and the adhesive side of the window film with the same solution
you cleaned the window with
|
 |
Step 6.
place the adhesive side of the
film to the glass leaving an overlap all the way around the edges
of the frame
|

Step 7.
lubricate the
surface of the film with a light spray of the same solution you
cleaned the window with. using a firm action, squeegee
out excess trapped water following the pattern shown

Step 8.
trim the film overlap
with a snap-off knife or sharp blade leaving a maximum 1- 2mm gap
|

Step 9.
once again spray a fine mist of soapy water over
the film to act as a lubricant and
with a firm squeegee action remove the remaining water from
behind the film

Step 10.
wipe any excess water from the
glass
and from around the frame
small water bubbles
(8mm-10mm across) may form under the film some time after installation.
These should 'cure out' over a few days in a well ventilated room
