Carbon Reduction Commitment & MVM Window Films
Thursday, December 22nd, 2011MVM Window Films can help your company meet its Carbon Reduction Commitment.
The Carbon Reduction Commitment brings organisations into scope if they consume more than 6,000 MWh/year of generated electricity.
MVM window films installed on your glazing can reduce the transmission of solar energy into your buildings and provide a more comfortable environment (thermal comfort), reduce the loading on HVAC equipment (improve efficiency), significantly lower energy bills and reduce CO2 emissions.
MVM’s new generation of high performance window coatings are actually carbon negative (saves more carbon in as little as one month than is produced during its manufacture) and so effective that pay back periods can be as short as two years. An organization committed to reducing their carbon footprint can cost-effectively fit MVM window film into an overall CO2 emissions reduction strategy.
MVM offers two levels of Calculating Energy Savings reports
1. A quick demand analyser report – calculates energy saved in KWh based on existing air conditioning energy demand, glazing type and total area of glazing to be treated
2. A total building energy report - examines full range of factors including building orientation, climate model (based on regional met office data), building envelope, building use etc.
